Oil immersed transformers of 1000kVA and above shall be equipped with outdoor signal thermometers and connected to remote signals. Oil immersed transformers of 800kVA and above shall be equipped with gas relays and pressure protection devices, and gas immersed transformers below 800kVA may be negotiated with the manufacturer according to the service requirements. Dry type transformer shall be equipped with temperature measuring device, generally 630kVA and above.
